The Samajwadi Party meeting at the party office in Lucknow ended with a major twist on Monday. Shivpal Yadav said that Mulayam Singh Yadav should take over as Chief Minister.

After the speech of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav, the National President of Samajwadi party Mulayam Singh spoke his heart out and addressed the party workers in the party office at Lucknow. Mulayam Singh Yadav directed his statement towards Akhilesh and said that those who talk about your weakness are your friend.

Mulayam Singh expressed his sadness due to the rift inside the party and said that “We worked really hard to form SP.” He asserted that the members of the party are facing a difficult time. Netaji (Mulayam Singh) told that if one gets criticized and feels that the criticism is right then the implementation of the same is a must. “If you cannot take criticism, you cannot be a leader,” Mulayam further added.

Talking about the rift inside the party: Mulayam Singh said that he has worked hard and courageously went to jail to bring the party to this level. “Jo bahut ucchal rahein hai agar baat aayi to ek laathi bhi nahin seh paaenge, he added. Mulayam narrated that he has not been weakened so far during all the tension and said that there was the need to remove weaknesses in the party.

According to the news reports, the SP supremo narrated the Riot Act to Akhilesh’s supporter and said that he gave tickets to youth to contest in the election and no one else did.

Mulayam stated that Shivpal Yadav is a people’s leader and to restore calm in the party asserted that the party members should fight others and not each other.

He claimed that “I am the baap of goondagardi.”

Mulayam Singh Yadav Breaks down

After Akhilesh, Mulayam Singh broke down in front of party workers and told that “I know the party will not split…I will not let the party break.”

Mulayam on Shivapal: Mulayam Singh Yadav, praising Shivpal for his work for the party and calling him a ‘leader of masses’ said that “Drunkards, goons have been added to the party. You get some power and it goes to your head.” The SP chief added Shivpal has always stood by him.

“I could’ve become the Prime Minister if I would’ve wanted to. But what is the point of becoming Prime Minister? There are many ex-PMs walking around,” he said.

Look at PM Modi, he became PM with dedication & struggle. He comes from a poor family, says he can’t leave his mother.

Mulayam on Amar Singh and party’s unity: The party supremo narrated that Amar Singh is like his brother and has done a lot for the party. He expressed his affection for Amar Singh and Shivpal and said “I can’t leave Amar Singh or Shivpal Yadav. All of Amar Singh’s sins are forgiven.” Mulayam Singh Yadav seeks to reaffirm the faith of the party workers and directs Akhilesh and Shivpal to listen to him.

He directed Akhilesh and Shivpal that “If I say that Shivpal listens to me, I can also say that Akhilesh will not deny what I say.”

“Samajwadi Party will not break, I will not let the party break,” Mulayam said.

Akhilesh Yadav interrupts father in between his speech

Apparently, Akhilesh Yadav lost his cool and interrupted Mulayam’s speech shouting that Amar Singh is not acceptable within the party. This came after Mulayam spoke about Amar Singh, praising him.

Earlier, Mulayam Singh made Shivpal and Akhilesh hug each other and told them to work out their differences.

Akhilesh Yadav, moments before the meeting was about to end, snatched the microphone from Mulayam’s hand and accused a party MLC Ashu Malik of writing a letter calling Akhilesh as ‘Aurangzeb’ and Mulayam as ‘Shahjahan’ on the instructions of Amar Singh.

As this accusation came, Shivapal stood up shouting and calling Akhilesh Yadav a liar.  Mulayam Singh got furious due to the same and left the stage saying, “This is how your chief minister behaves.”

After the meeting ended, Shivpal Yadav urged that Mulayam Singh Yadav should take over the Chief Minister.
