Smog engulfs Delhi, people stepping out wearing masks


New Delhi, Nov 8: As a thick layer of smog engulfed the entire national capital and neighbouring areas, schools have been directed to be shut on Wednesday.

Smog canopies the national capital early on Wednesday. While Air Quality in most of the areas continues to be under severe category with air quality in Delhi’s Lodhi Road area was seen in prominent pollutants PM 10 and PM 2.5 in ‘severe’ category.

It is also advised to wear a mask or avoid stepping out some days.

In view of rampant Air Pollution, people at a park in Delhi’s Dwarka were seen wearing masks during a morning walk.

As some schools are still open, students expressed difficulties in eyes and throat.
