Slain UP inspector Subodh Kumar’s family meets Adityanath

Lucknow, Dec 6: Family of slain Uttar Pradesh Police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, who lost his life in Bulandshahr mob violence, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.

The meeting took place at the 5, Kalidas Marg residence of the Chief Minister here, where Sunita, the widow and her two sons Shrey and Abhishek were present.

“We met the Chief Minister and he has assured us that we will get justice”, Shrey told media after the meeting.

Meanwhile, the state government has renamed Jaithari-Kuraoli road leading to the village of martyred police Inspector in Etah to ‘Shri Subodh Kumar Singh Shahid Marg’.

A high-level probe has also been ordered in the Bulandshahr violence.

Although the prime accused — Bajrang Dal’s district coordinator — is still on run. So far the police have arrested four others named by Yogesh Raj in an FIR alleging cow slaughter.

According to the police, Sarfuddin, Shajid, Asif and Nanhe — who were among the seven accused named for cow slaughter in the First Information Report (FIR), have been arrested.
