New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Kapil Sibal welcomed today’s ICJ ruling which stayed the execution of Kulbushan Jadav by Pakistan. He termed Pakistan as a “sick”state and said that Pakistan should now adhere to the ICJ ruling. Sibal said that the government has the option to appeal against the final judgment of the ICJ in the matter, if the court does not rule in India’s favour. Significantly, Sibal said that he is ready to provide legal help to the family members of Kulbushan Jadav, if they so desire.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Thursday told Pakistan that it could not execute Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who had been sentenced to death by a Pakistan military court on charges of espionage and subversive activities.
