India’s shuttler P.V. Sindhu who won silver medal at the Rio Olympics, has singed a three year bond with Baseline ventures, a sports marketing firm.
She has bagged a Rs 50 crore endorsement deal for three years from various companies, which is highest ever non Cricket player got according to a report in The Times of India.
Tuhin Mishra, managing director and co-founder of Baseline, told TOI “Her soaring popularity has attracted the attention of so many companies. In the next three years, we will work to maximise her value. Even after achieving stupendous success, her humility and the value she brings to women power is remarkable,” said Mishra.
Mishra further added the newspaper that several companies are waiting to sign endorsement deals with Sindhu and they have finalised nine of them.
“Ever since Sindhu returned from the Olympics, so many people have been approaching her. In the last few days we’ve had intense discussion on whom to endorse. So far we have finalised nine companies. Maybe by the end of next week we will be signing with them. As for the rest, we are yet to take a decision,” Mishra said.
The Rio Olympics silver medalist was set to clash with the World No.1 Marin in the quarter-finals in Tokyo.
