Mumbai, Oct 5: Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who had started shooting for badminton champion Saina Nehwal biopic recently, has reportedly been diagnosed with dengue.
According to media reports, the 31-year-old actress has taken a break from her shooting schedule after diagnosis. She will resume shooting for the film after recuperating from dengue.
In her Instagram story, Shraddha revealed that she is “recovering” and asked her fans not to worry. “Hey guys, please don’t worry. I am recovering well. Lots of Love to you all,” Shraddha Kapoor’s Instagram story read.
Commenting on Shraddha’s health, film’s producer Bhushan Kumar told Mumbai Mirror, “Shraddha has had a busy schedule for months now and that seems to have taken a toll on her health. All of us empathise with her situation. We will soon get an update on her health and when she can resume work. She is keen to get back as soon as possible.”
In Saina Nehwal biopic, the actress will be portraying the role of he 28-year-old badminton champ.
Last week, the ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress had shared her character’s first look on Instagram in which she was exactly looking like Saina Nehwal sporting a jersey with badminton in one hand. She was witnessed flaunting the same aggression and enthusiasm which Nehwal demonstrates in the court.
In the photo shared by her, Shraddha features as Saina and she perfectly encapsulates the ace badminton players’s signature expression rejoicing victory on the field.
The biopic, which went on floors in September, is being directed by Amol Gupte., who has previously helmed movies like Sniff, Hawa Hawai and Stanley Ka Dabba.
The film will take us through the life of Saina Nehwal, a badminton player who has made India proud by winning over 23 international titles.
