New Delhi, July 16: The Supreme Court will decide whether Lt Col Karamveer Singh’s (father of Major Aditya) plea to quash the FIR is maintainable or not on July 30.

“Supreme Court, in its next hearing on July 30, will decide whether Lt Col Karamveer Singh’s (father of Major Aditya) plea to quash the FIR is maintainable or not”, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the Jammu and Kashmir government claimed that father can’t file a petition for Major Aditya and opposed the suspension of probe.

Lt. Col. Karamveer Singh — a serving army officer and father of Major Aditya — is seeking the quashing of the FIR against his son.

Major Kumar and other soldiers of 10 Garhwal Rifles have been accused of opening fire and fatally injuring three civilians when a group of people pelted stone at the army convoy near Ganowpora village in Shopian district on January 27.
