Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani Mukerjea’s bail plea rejected

Mumbai,  Sep 7: A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Friday rejected the bail plea of Sheena Bora murder case accused Indrani Mukerjea.  

Mukerjea had moved the application through her counsel Gunjan Mangla on August 10.

Indrani is facing trial for her alleged murder of her daughter, which took place in 2012.

In January last year, the Court commenced a trial by framing charges against Indrani Mukerjea, and her two step-fathers – former media tycoon Peter Mukerjea and Kolkata-based businessman Sanjeev Khanna with murder and criminal conspiracy in connection with the case.

The trio was arrested in August 2015, while Peter was held later in November in the same year.

The 24-year-old bora murdered and her body disposed of in a forest area in Raigad district near Mumbai in April 2012.
