New Delhi, March 6: Disgruntled BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha took a jibe at the Narendra Modi government over PNB scam saying never take small loans, always take thousands of crores in that way, a lot of powerful backsides will be on the line, who’ll work to protect you.
Taking to Twitter, the Patna Sahib MP said the rate at which big businesses are shutting or fleeing, only the honest pakoda sellers will be left behind.
The tweet was critical of the Central government for its inability to nab Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi, prime accused in the Rs 12,000 crore PNB fraud case, who have reportedly fled the country in early January this year.
He also cornered the Centre for “demonetisation drive”, stating “the government made sure that every poor and middle class Indian stood in long queues, went to the bank, deposited money & gave details of their Janam Kundli”.
“They also made sure that this poor Indian’s money was safely transported ABROAD without any Kundli! Magical!”, the actor-turned-politician added.
In November 2016, the Centre scrapped old currencies notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes in a bid to curb black money and terror funding.
