That too when the matter is sub judice, in the Supreme Court, under a 5 judge constitutional bench. Wonder what was the hurry and worry. He also questioned the urgency in implementing the President rule in the north-eastern state.

The Central Government on Friday submitted a reply in the Supreme Court justifying the imposition of President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Ministry of Home Affairs  argued in its affidavit  that the state has been witness to recurrent insurgency as well as attempts by China to claims large parts of its territory and hence it is “imperative and in the interest of the country that the state is socially, economically and politically stable”
