Patna, Aug 2: As per the speculations, senior Janta Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav who is disappointed over Nitish Kumar’s decision to re-unite with the NDA, may form new party and join hands with the Congress-led UPA.
According to TOI, a close aide of Yadav, Vijay Verma said “Sharadji is in touch with old friends and is pondering over the political situation. Forming a new party is one of the options to which a serious thought is being given.”
Meanwhile, JD(U)’s principal general secretary KC Tyagi described such news as a “rumor”.
Last week, when Nitish Kumar formed the government with the NDA, Yadav termed his decision as “unpleasant” and “unfortunate”.
“The situation is very unpleasant to us and It is unfortunate that the grand alliance has been broken. People’s mandate was not for it,” he told media.
