Made calls randomly on any number, if it comes out to be a women’s number then he used to save them and text obscene messages on them. More than 1500 women were sent vulgar messages.
In a shocking incident where a 31-year-old man has arrested for sending vulgur messages and porn video clips to more than 1,500 women across Delhi and NCR region.
Police have recovered two mobile phones, they have also found the messages and around thousands of porn videos which were sent to the women. Surprisingly, the accused Mohammad Khalid never used the phones for his personal use. Police found around 2,000 contact numbers of women in his phone.
A resident of Delhi’s Ballimaran area used to send messages by three sim cards. He was arrested following a woman from Ashok Vihar lodged a complaint, alleging that she received indecent messages from two different numbers.
“He would randomly dial any number. If the caller turned out to be a female, he would save the number and later check out her WhatsApp profile picture. He would then send obscene clips to them. The accused has been sending such texts to women for the last one year,” Vijay Singh, DCP (northwest), said.
“He also threatened to upload their mobile numbers and pictures on social media sites. Despite being warned several times, the accused continued sending vulgar content. He was sure he would not be caught since he obtained the SIM cards on the basis of fake ids,” Singh added.
Preliminary reports revealed that Khalid bought the SIM cards after producing three different identity cards, which later turned out to be fake.
“On June 29, Khalid was zeroed in the area of Sadar Bazaar as he bought his SIM cards from that area only. The accused was apprehended from his shop in the Sadar Bazaar area. He had been running a bag shop along with his father. Two mobile phones were recovered which were used by him for committing the crime,” Singh added.
“He had sent 750 text messages and same amount of WhatsApp messages to females. We have received porn clips from his mobile which he used to send to the victims,” a senior official involved in investigation added.
A case has been filed against Mohammad Khalid under IPC sections 354A, 506, 354D, 509, 420, 468, 471.
