The Supreme Court on Wednesday extended the time of Sahara Chief Subrata Roy’s interim bail till 24th October.
SC allowed Roy and other two other company directors to remain on interim bail on payment of Rs 200 crore.
The apex court told Sahara to submit an index and scheme on 24th October to pay the remaining amount of Rs 12,000 due from it. SC said that the scheme to repay Rs 12,000 crore must be escorted by an affidavit.
Earlier, Supreme Court on Friday ordered to send Roy back to jail and cancelled the interim bail.
Sahara apologized on behalf of its lawyer Rajeev Dhavan as he used immoderate language in front of the bench. Then, the court agreed to reconsider Subrata’s bail plea.
