Uttar Pradesh, 27 Feb: Yet again the new currency notes grabbed headlines after more counterfeit notes of Rs 2,000 were dispensed from SBI ATM.
This time the fake Rs 2,000 notes were dispensed from an ATM in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur.
While the case of fake notes being dispensed from SBI ATM in Delhi is yet to be solved and it has returned to haunt the authorities.
According to the reports, a person received scanned copies of Rs 2,000 notes from the SBI ATM in Shahjahanpur on Thursday.
The man, identified as Puneet Gupta, received the scanned copy of Rs 200 notes when he came to withdraw Rs 10,000 from the ATM.
The SBI ATM dispensed five notes of Rs 2,000 but one of them was a scanned copy of the original note.
