Sartaj Aziz to brief National Assembly on ‘Indian spy’

Pakistan National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs will be briefed on Today on “activities of India’s intelligence agency in Pakistan”, a media report said.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif‘s advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz is slated to brief the committee, which will be headed by Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, on the matter during an in-camera meeting, said reports.

According to the reports, earlier this month, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had briefed the Senate Defence Committee and Senate last week on the issue.

The Inter-Services Public Relations released on March 29 a “confessional video statement of the arrested Indian spy” in which he had admitted to fomenting terrorism in Balochistan and Karachi.

In his confessional statement, the RAW agent had revealed that his mission in Pakistan was to hold meetings with Baloch insurgents and carry out subversive activities.
