Kolkata, May 30: The Calcutta High Court on Thursday granted one month’s protection from arrest to Former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar from date of reopening of court June 12 after he moved the court seeking CBI notices directing him to appear before the probe agency be quashed in connection with the Saradha chit fund case.
Accepting the plea, the Court said Kumar cannot go outside Kolkata.
For attendance CBI shall go to Rajeev Kumar’s residence everyday at 4 PM. He cannot go outside Kolkata. Next hearing on 12th June, the Court stated.
