New Delhi, July 4: Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’ has left not only the country in awe but garnered immense love from people around the world as well, especially Dubai.
The movie has won the hearts so much in Dubai that the theatres were open for 24 hours due to high demand for the film.
The Filmfare shared a picture of lead-actor Ranbir Kapoor along with Director Rajkumar Hirani with a caption that read, “#Sanju is winning hearts all over the world! Theatres in Dubai remain open for 24 hours due to the high demand of shows for the film.”
Biopic ‘Sanju’- which is based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, rocked the Box Office by earning a whopping Rs 120.06 crore on the opening weekend. With this, the film crushed the opening weekend records of ‘Padmavaat’ ( Rs 114 crore), ‘Race 3’ (Rs 106.47 crore), ‘Baaghi 2’ (Rs 73.10) and ‘Raid’ (Rs 41.01 crore).
‘Sanju’ also created history by becoming the highest single day grosser for any Hindi film with a collection Rs 46.50 crore on Sunday, thereby crushing the record set the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubli 2’.
Sanjay, who had made a rocking debut in Bollywood with “Rocky” in 1981, put his personal life in jeopardy through drug addiction, and his life took a turn for the worse when he was arrested for illegal possession of weapons and was convicted.
Rajkumar Hirani has brought the story of his life on the silver screen with “Sanju”, in which Ranbir is seen as Sanjay Dutt, with Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and Anushka Sharma playing pivotal roles. The much-awaited biopic released on June 29.
