May 25 , Thursday : BSP chief Mayawati denied the allegation on Thursday made against her party in an intelligence report which states that the Bahujan Samaj Party is supporting Bhim Army by saying My brother & senior leaders of BSP have no connection with Bhim Army.
Not only this , Mayawati said residents of Saharanpur believes that Bhim Army is product of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Earlier in day , the UP Police and local intelligence made a 9 -page report and submitted it to state government over caste clash in Saharanpur which asserted that Mayawati led the BSP is supporting Bhim Army, which is being accused for inciting caste violence.
The report revealed that Mayawati’s brother Anand was in contact with Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar through a third party, however it didn’t mentioned why he was in touch with Bhim Army chief.
The Uttar Pradesh government had transferred the Senior Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate of Saharanpur on Wednesday for failing to control the violence that triggered in the area.
Saharanpur is witnessing communal tensions since April , later it again took place on May 5 and after Mayawati’s Visit.
This has raised question over credibility of law and order in the state and has become a major challenge for Yogi government.
