Congress on Monday strongly condemned the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that his organisation has the capacity to form an army within a few days to fight for the country.
Addressing a press conference here, the senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said that RSS chief’s statement is the insult of out Tricolour. At a time when army caps are attacked his statement is offensive.
“We pay homage to the brave soldiers of our army who were martyred due to terrorist attack yesterday and today. It is sad and disturbing that while Army is facing this, RSS chief states direct insult to the Indian Army,” he added.
Asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond on the incident, Anand Sharma said,” Nations which have outsourced private militia have paid with grief. Hence we cannot allow such a development where a private organisation is involved in defence of this nation. PM Modi should clarify this.”
The leader stated that prime minister Modi is undermining his position as in a foreign visit he said, India has no achievements.
Anand Sharma also alleged that PM Modi has written a letter to Indian businesses in Muscat informing them that he is organising the government-sponsored event. And has mandated them to bring at least 80% blue-collared workers to the event. This is unbecoming of the PM
