West Bengal, Jan 4, 2017: The house of BJP leader Krishna Bhattacharya was allegedly attacked by TMC workers in West Bengal’s Uttarpara last night.
A case has been registered in this connection. No casualties have been reported.
The incident comes a day after Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists attacked the Bhartiya Janata Party’s office in Kolkata.
The TMC has been protesting the arrests of it two MPs. They were arrested in connection with the Rose Valley scam. The party has termed these arrests as an agenda by the BJP against the TMC.
On Tuesday, TMC Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay was arrested by the CBI for his alleged involvement in Rose Valley group chit fund scam. Amid this and Mamata’s yawp of it being a “political vendetta”, 15 people were injured as her supporters attacked the BJP office.
