Roof of building that houses Bank of Maharashtra in Solapur collapses, over 20 people trapped

Maharashtra, July 31: Over 20 people are feared trapped after the roof of the building that houses Bank of Maharashtra’s branch in Solapur has collapsed due to incessant rains.

Over 20 people are feared trapped and 10 people have been evacuated.

Earlier this month, 22 people died and 94 injured in a wall collapse in the city. In all, 35 lives were lost in rain-related incidents across Maharashtra overnight.

In the other rain-related incidents, 6 died in a Pune wall collapse, two were drowned after their car was submerged in the Malad subway, three died in a Kalyan school compound wall collapse, one died of electrocution in Vile Parle and one in a wall collapse at Mulund.
