Robert Mugabe dismissed as leader of Zanu-PF

Harare, Nov 19: President Robert Mugabe kicked out of power as his own party Zanu-PF has voted to end his 37-year-rule on Sunday.

The 93-year-old has been replaced by  former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The sacking of Mnangagwa had prompted an extraordinary chain of events as the military intervened to block Mugabe, 93, from installing his wife Grace in his place.

Thousands of Zimbabweans staged street protests on Saturday to demonstrate against the Mugabe.

Mugabe is scheduled to  meet military leaders on Sunday evening.
