Rebel Congress MLAs should apologise, says incumbent Uttarakhand CM

Harish Rawat

As the Congress-led Uttarakhand government plunged into political crisis, today Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker GS Kunjwal issues notice under anti-defection law to 9 rebel Congress MLAs.

While speaking up on crisis, Uttarakhand incumbent Chief Minister Harish Rawat said, “They (rebel MLAs) should have spoken to the Speaker or the Governor separately. We are giving time to the rebel MLAs to accept their mistake and apologise for their actions.”

4-5 rebel MLAs are in touch with us now; I am giving a chance to the rebel MLAs to accept to their mistakes, he added.

However, Uttarakhand CM will meet Uttarakhand Governor K. K. Paul at 7:30 PM this evening.
