New Delhi, Aug 17: Congress senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday said the real JD-U is led by Sharad Yadav.
Addressing at the ‘Sajha Virasat Bachao Sammelan’, Azad hailed the rebel JD-U leader and congratulated him for “choosing the path of secularism” and parting ways with Nitish Kumar after he joined hands with the BJP to form cabinet in Bihar.
“We cannot see the JD-U in Bihar any more as it is completely drowned in the BJP,” he said.
Azad also praised Yadav for not accepting a cabinet position in the BJP-led union government.
“He stuck to his principles and refused to accept the ministerial berth offered to him,” the Congress leader stated.
On July 26 broke the Grand Alliance with the RJD and Congress in Bihar and formed a new government with the BJP’s support within less than 24 hours.
