Bengaluru, May 8: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said he can become the Prime Minister if the Congress wins the 2019 general elections with full majority.
Addressing a gathering, Gandhi stated “Yes why not,” when asked if he can be Prime Minister in 2019 if Congress emerges as the single largest part.
Last year in September, speaking to students in Berkley university in US, the Congress leader had said he was “absolutely ready” to be the party’s prime ministerial candidate for the high stakes 2019 general elections.
Gandhi is in Karnataka for election campaigning before the state elections slated to be held on May 12.
Counting of votes will take place on May 15.
