UP, Nov 12, 2016: After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav accused Senior Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, the main wrongdoer behind the feud within the party, Rajya Sabha MP said if his sacrifice leads to reunification then he would happily be a scapegoat for the welfare of the party.
Speaking to media, Amar Singh said “I have been accused of creating the rift within the Samajwadi Party and have been held responsible for the infighting. I have always treated Akhilesh as my son, but I am deeply hurt by his statements.”
“And if my sacrifice unifies the party then I am ready for it as well,” he added.
After six years, Singh re-inducted to the SP and has been accused by Akhilesh of instigating the current unrest that has deeply divided the Yadav family.
The chief minister’s supporters allege that the party leader is conspiring with Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Yadav to remove him from the chief ministerial post.
However, SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav had described Singh as “my brother” and said that his past sins were forgiven.
