New Delhi, Oct 6, 2017: As Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has already kicked off the campaign for Gujarat Assembly elections which is scheduled to be held in next year.
The party did not want to leave any stone unturned for that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the public meeting and Gujarat in-charge Arun Jaitley has also started his work through road shows.
Meanwhile, a big statement from senior BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy has come out. He has said that former CM Anandiben Patel should be re-elected as Chief Minister candidate for victory in Gujarat.
Swamy took to twitter and said:
Fmr CM Anandi Behn’s popularity in Gujarat is rising very fast. I think we should make her the CM candidate for BJP to win easily in polls
— Subramanian Swamy (@Swamy39) October 6, 2017
Last year in August, Anandiben Patel has called upon the BJP leadership to ” relieve” her from her present responsibilities in keeping with the “party’s laudable tradition” of leaders who turn 75 vacating their posts.
However, so far BJP has not declared its CM candidate in Gujarat.
