Mumbai, Actor Ranveer Singh on Sunday tweeted a new character poster featuring actor Jiiva as former cricketer K. Srikkanth of the upcoming film “83”.

“IT’S CHIKA, MACHA! The Swashbuckling South Indian Strokeplay Sensation,” Ranveer captioned the photo that has Jiiva swinging his cricket bat.

Earlier, the character poster of Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar was unveiled. The first look of Ranveer as Kapil Dev was out in the iconic Natraj pose and won hearts of many.

Joining the actors in the film are Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil. Actress Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo avatar playing Romi, Kapil Dev’s Wife.

The movie, based on India’s historical 1983 Cricket World Cup victory, is slated to hit the screens on April 10.”83″ is co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment.

Bengaluru, April 7 : Kannada’s popular comedian ‘Bullet’ Prakash (44) died at a private hospital in the city following multi-organ failure, an official said on Monday.

“Prakash passed away in the evening (4.45 p.m.) due to multi-organ failure, including liver and kidneys after he was put on a ventilator earlier in the day,” a hospital spokesman told IANS.

Prakash was admitted in the specialty hospital on Cunningham road in the city centre on March 31 for treatment as vital organs were in serious condition.

Prakash was also a member of the ruling BJP.

Fans nicknamed him ‘Bullet’ for seen riding in the city over the years the Royal Enfield motorbike, which is as heavy and sturdy as he was in height and size.

According to the Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce, Prakash acted in over 200 Kannada films in a career spanning over two decades. He acted as a comedian in hit films like “Mast Maja Madi”, “Aryan”, “Aithalakkadi” and “Mallikarjuna”.

Prakash debuted on the silver screen in 2002 and acted along with Kannada superstars Puneet Rajkumar, Darshan and Upendra.

Mumbai, April 6 : Amid self-isolation in the time of coronavirus outbreak, “bored” actress Neha Sharma is trying out the new fad on social media called the T-shirt Challenge.

The challenge involves putting on a T-shirt while doing a handstand, and Neha took to Instagram to post a video where she can be seen trying to do just that. She also invited her sister, actress Aisha Sharma, to take up the challenge.

“T-shirt challenge… This one is for you @aishasharma25Since I was very bored decided I could try this out.. I have attempted the T-shirt challenge with a ONCE broken right wrist so excuse my little cheat.. have fun if you decide you try it,” wrote Neha, alongside the video.

She added: “Be safe.. #stayhome #staysafe #quarantinetshirtchallenge #quarantinelife.”

The video has over 1 million views on the photo-sharing app.

Neha made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with the Emraan Hashmi-starrer “Crook”. She was later seen in films like “Teri Meri Kahaani”, “Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum”, “Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story”, “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2”, “Youngistaan” and “Tum Bin II”.

She will next be seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s “Taish”, a revenge drama. The film also stars Jim Sarbh, Amit Sadh, Pulkit Samrat, Aditya Pancholi and Harshvardhan Rane among others.

Singer Kanika Kapoor is finally corona negative

Lucknow, April 5 Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who tested positive for Coronavirus after returning to India from London, has finally tested negative for the deadly virus in her sixth test.

“Her reports are now negative but we will wait for one more test before she is allowed to go home, said Prof R.K. Dhiman, director of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow where she is undergoing treatment.

If her second test is also negative, Kanika may be allowed to go home this week.

Kanika’s troubles, however, are likely to increase after she is discharged from hospital.

Three FIRs have been filed against Kanika on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home.

She has been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in the city.

The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the chief medical officer (CMO) of Lucknow.

She is the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the deadly virus in the country.

In a statement on Instagram, which she later deleted, Kanika narrated how she developed signs of flu on her return from London. She claimed that she was unaware of the Corona infection till she tested positive.

The singer who had come from London on March 9 was slammed by the media for interacting with hundreds of people at parties and other events in Lucknow.

She was admitted on March 20 when her tests revealed that she was Corona positive.

Her five consecutive reports showed her as Corona positive.
