Rajnish Kumar appointed as new SBI chief

New Delhi, Oct 4: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday appointed  Rajnish Kumar as the next State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman for a period of three years.

He will succeed Arundhati Bhattacharya, whose term will end this week.

Presently, Kumar is serving as the managing director for the National Banking Group.

As per his profile on the SBI website, Kumar holds a master’s degree in physics and listed travelling and playing badminton among  his hobbies.
