Rajnath to take stock of situation in flood-hit Assam

New Delhi, July 29: The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit flood-hit Assam on Saturday, where the condition is critical and has displaced thousands.

flood-wefornewsRajnath Singh will take a stock of the situation there via aerial survey of the areas in Nagaon, Morigaon and Kaziranga districts and also visit a camp of people uprooted by the floods in Morigaon district, an official statement said on Friday.

He is also slated to meet Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and government officers before returning to Delhi in the evening.
