New Delhi, 24th September: Former home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi will be the new Comptroller Auditor General Of India. Mehrishi will be succeeding Shashi Kant Sharma the former CAG.
According to officials Mehrishi would be administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow.
Mehrishi was appointed as an ias in 1978, Mehrishi who hails from Gujarat has masters and bachelors degree from Delhi University. He also has a Master degree in Business administration from University of Strathclyde.
Before becoming the home secretary Mehrishi served as economic affairs secretary and chief secretary of Rajasthan.
