Rajasthan: ‘BJP doesn’t care about poor, farmers, Dalits,’ says Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, July 19: Continuing a scathing attack against the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said this government can open Parliament at midnight for the launch of GST, but they don’t have a single minute to discuss about farmers plight.

While speaking at farmer’s rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Gandhi said Today in Lok Sabha we wanted to raise farmers issues, even the Prime Minister Modi was also present, but we were not allowed to speak.”

Congress leader said BJP is only worried about rich industrialists and not about the poor, adding the hasty launch of Goods and Services tax was a perfect example of this government’s attitude.

Big traders have no issues with the single tax regime, they can employ 10 accountants and fill as many forms but Small traders have been majorly impacted, he further stated.

Gandhi said, this ruling government is least bothered about small businessmen, labourers, Dalits, they don’t care what happens to them, this is truth of the RSS and the BJP.

“After the Congress waived off farmers loans in Punjab and Karnataka, fearing the opposition, Uttar Pradesh also did the same,” Rahul asserted reffering to the BJP.
