Rainbow colors in Gurgaon’s streets, LGBT first pride march today


Gurgaon’s street will be filled with rainbow colours Today as LGBT first pride march is all set to make an entry in the city.


The pride labelled as – ‘Ab Gurgaon Dur Nahin’ will start in evening at Leisure Valley Ground, Sector 29 to raise their voice for ‘freedom from discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation to ensure social justice and a truly inclusive environment’ and the ‘repeal of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, enactment of comprehensive anti-discrimination laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of age, gender, sexual orientation, class, caste, religion and ethnicity.LGBT MARCH-WEFORNEWSThe march will mark its starting with the music and open mic session then they will walk out in streets with a candle of hope to pay tributes to the 49 victims who died in Orlando and Mexico massacre victims and murdered Bangladeshi queer activists.PRIDE-wefornewsThe parade is backed by the organisers of the Delhi Queer Pride but the idea of starting it in Gurgaon was of Puja Bajad, an international NGO activist. The event will include a life-size art installation, music, open microphone, live performances and a procession around Leisure Valley.
