May 12 : Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter developed a technical glitch on Saturday when he was in Himachal Pradesh’s Una for campaigning. Rahul Gandhi, who is a trained pilot, got down to fix it and shared his picture on Instagram showing him trying to fix a helicopter along with a message about team work.
Rahul Gandhi’s post received over 93,000 likes, with people praising him for his humility and simplicity. “Hats off sir. We believe in you and support you,” one Instagram user wrote. “Kudos, stay safe,” another user posted. Congress also posted a video of Rahul Gandhi, standing by pilots and helping them.
“Good teamwork means all hands to the deck! We had a problem with our helicopter in Una, HP today, that working together we quickly fixed. Nothing serious, thankfully,” he wrote with a picture of him lying on the ground and looking at the helicopter with full concentration.
He also mentioned that the chopper broke down because of some technical glitches; nevertheless, ‘team work’ helped solve the problem quickly.
However, instead of waiting for others to fix his chopper, Gandhi decided to lend a helping hand and can be seen in the picture working with others to set the chopper right.
Rahul’s picture is bound to revive memories of his late father Rajiv Gandhi who was a qualified pilot and took keen interest in the aviation sector even after he joined politics and became Prime Minister.
The Congress chief is seeking re-election from Amethi, the constituency he has held since 2004.
He also chose a second seat to contest from this election, Wayanad, a hilly town in Kerala. His decision turned Wayanad into one of the most-watched constituencies in the country.
