Rahul Gandhi’s jibe: BJP’s film franchise would be called ‘Lie Hard’

New Delhi, Dec 23: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) saying if the latter made a film series, it would be called “Lie Hard.”

The Congress Chief said in a tweet “If BJP had a film franchise it would be called Lie Hard.”

Later in a day, he embarked on a 3-day visit to Gujarat, where he will meet all the newly-elected MLAs, leaders and party workers.

Gandhi remarks comes a day after, he claimed the entire structure of the BJP is “based on lies”.

On Friday, Rahul chaired the CWC meet for the first as the party president after taking over the reins from his mother Sonia Gandhi. The CWC, the party’s highest decision-making body, accorded a warm welcome to Rahul, Sonia and former prime minister Manmohan Singh.

While addressing media post CWC meeting, he stated: “Everyone knows about 2G, the truth has come out on front of you” in reference to 2 G verdict.

“If you see the Modi model in Gujarat it was a clear lie, when we went to Gujarat the people said there is no model, they said what is going on is stealing of people’s resources”, he added.
