New Delhi, Jan 4: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday hit out at the Modi-led central government over the reported plunge in fresh investments in the country, calling its record a “Fake in India” programme.

Gandhi took twitter to slam the government. “Guys a quick update on the Fake in India program. #FakeinIndia,” he tweeted along with an online Mint story, headlined “Fresh investments in India plunge to a 13-year low as stalled projects rise”.

New project announcements by Indian firms touched a 13-year low of Rs77,000 crore in the December quarter, the Mint reported citing the project-tracking database of the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) showed.
