Kanker, Nov 9: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rafale deal, demonetisation and other issues in poll-bound Chhattisgarh.

” All of you were standing in long queues during Demonetisation but not one black money holder was seen. Also, Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi and Mehul Choksi ran away from the country with your money”, Gandhi said while addressing a rally in Kanker.

On Rafale row, “PM Modi had gifted a Rs 30,000 crore deal to industrialist Anil Ambani. The Centre decided to change the prices of the Rafale jets from Rs 526 crore per jet (decided by UPA govt) to Rs 1,600 crore per jet. The central government also snatched away the deal from HAL to hand it over to the Ambanis.”

“The money that Nirav Modi ran away with was your money, the money that Vijay Mallya and Lalit Modi ran away with was your money. From that money hospitals could have been opened, medicines could have been provided”, he added.

Earlier in a day, the Congress Chief arrived here on two-day tour for the poll campaign.

Chhattisgarh Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phase.

First Phase for 18 Seats in South Chhattisgarh on November 12 and Second for remaining 72 seats of North Chhattisgarh will take place on November 20.
