New Delhi, December 2: Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that PM Modi is incompetent as he has caused tremendous suffering to the people of India and is always interested in TRP politics.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi chaired Congress Parliamentary Party meet for the first time today. Congress President Sonia Gandhi missed the meeting as she was not well.
Calling Modi a prisoner of his own image, Gandhi said, as Prime Minister is more interested in TRPs and protecting his own persona, “The country has suffered tremendous damage as a result of vanity and incompetence of PM.”
Highlighting the failure of government for consistent unrest in Jammu & Kashmir and recent infliteration bid in Samba district and Nabrota army base camp, Gandhi said, “There have been 21 major attacks and hundreds of ceasefire violations since the strikes. It’s high time the Modi government develops a coherent strategy, we were told that idea behind strikes was to stop Pakistan from cross-border attacks.”
“Govt has got itself into a complete mess with regards to Pakistan.Their policy is a complete failure,” said Gandhi while highlighting the flip-flop policy of Modi Government against Pakistan.
Accusing PM for creating a “political vacuum” in the country Rahul said that the central government has provided space for terrorists to operate. “But who is paying the price? Not PM, nor Defence Minister,” questioned Rahul.
“Our soldiers, their families are paying price. 85 soldiers martyred, that’s the highest number of men we have lost in almost a decade”
He said, “PM Modi will be judged by history as a man who gifted massive political space to anti-India forces by creating opportunistic BJP-PDP political alliance.”
Today the same person (PM) who used to ridicule us sits silently while Kashmir burns, said Gandhi.
He emphasized how Prime Ministers during the Congress regime placed country before their personal interests and never before any PM “based his entire policy making strategy on TRPs.”
Citing how PM Modi ignored the warning against demonetisation by economists, Gandhi further said, “Congress never gave India a PM who by-passed the experience of those sitting in the institutions. Congress never gave India a PM who was a prisoner of his own image.”
