Rahul Gandhi meets party workers at Jowai in Poll-Bound Meghalaya

New Delhi, Jan 30: Congress president Rahul Gandhi commenced the election campaign of the party in poll-bound Meghalaya on Tuesday. 

On his arrival, Gandhi interacted with the party workers in Jowai ( Jayantia Hills). Later he also met the people of Meghalaya.

Followed by this held a meeting PCC office bearers in Shillong.

Later in the evening, Congress president will participate in a musical festival at polo ground here.

Tomorrow, he will meet religious heads and heads of various traditional institutions in the state.

Polls to the 60-member Meghalaya Assembly to be held on February 27.

Meghalaya has 18.3 lakh voters out of which 42,843 are new voters for the assembly elections.
