New Delhi, May 3: Hitting out at Narendra Modi over the condition of farmers in Karnataka, Congress President Rahul Gandhi in a report card gave the Prime Minister an ‘F’ Grade for his performance in the agricultural sector.
Gandhi said in a tweet that the Prime Minister’s crop insurance scheme has made the “farmers suffer” while filling the coffers of the private insurance companies that have made “big profits”.
He further added, the farmers did not receive the additional 50 percent on their Minimum Support Price (MSP) that they have been seeking.
Mr Modi’s Report Card
1. Contribution to Cong State Govts 8,500 Cr Farm Loan waiver = 0 Rs
2. PM’s crop insurance scheme: Farmers suffer; pvt insurance companies make huge profits.
3. No MSP+50%, for Karnataka farmers.
