Haveri, March 9: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party for releasing Masood Azhar, chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed, in 1999.

“Few days ago, our soldiers were martyred in Pulwama. Who sent Masood Azhar, who was responsible for Pulwama terror attack, back to Pakistan? It was BJP”, Gandhi said while addressing a rally at Municipal Grounds in Karnataka’s Haveri.

“Ajit Doval, who is the National Security Advisor for the Modi Govt, escorted head of JeM Masood Azhar back to Pakistan. We are not like Narendra Modi, we don’t bow down to terrorists”.

The JeM had claimed responsibility for the attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, in which 40 troopers had lost their lives.

Continuing his attack, Gandhi stated the BJP wants to divide the nation into two parts. One for people like Anil Ambani, Mehul Choksi and the other for poor farmers, labourers and the marginalised.

“We want one nation where everyone gets justice”, he added.

The Congress Chief also targetted the Narendra Modi over Rafale Deal.

“I raised few important questions on Rafale in the Parliament. Why was Anil Ambani given the deal? And why was HAL sidelined, stealing many job opportunities from the youth of Karnataka?”.

Continuing his attack, Gandhi said “When I raised questions to Mr. Modi about Rafale deal, he couldn’t meet my eyes”.

He further stated the BJP wants to divide the nation into two parts. One for people like Anil Ambani, Mehul Choksi and the other for poor farmers, labourers and the marginalised.

“We want one nation where everyone gets justice”, the Congress Chief added.
