Tokyo, Sep 13: Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu crashed out of Japan Open in Tokyo on Thursday.
Sindhu was defeated by China’s Gao Fangjie in the women’s singles second round of 16th match.
The Rio Olympics medallist suffered a 18-21, 19-21 defeat to Fangjie.
Sindhu, who recently clinched silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, had won her first round match on Wednesday against World No. 13 Sayaka Takahashi.
She attainted victory with the score of 21-17, 7-21, 21-13.
