Punjab: Fire in Army ammunition depot near Bathinda

Chandigarh, Sep 7: A fire broke out in an Army ammunition depot near Bathinda town in Southern Punjab on Thursday morning, police said. However, no causalities was reported.

The blaze was detected around 5 a.m. Several fire tenders were rushed to the incident spot and situation was controlled by 7 a.m.

Senior Army officers visited to the incident spot. The damage caused by the fire would be assessed by the Army. A probe is likely to be ordered.
