New Delhi , June 10: Priyanka Chopra has issued an apology over the controversial Hindu terror plot in Quantico that showed Indians planning a terrorist attack in Manhattan and blaming Pakistan.
After her role sparked an online outrage for the actress, the actor took to Twitter and wrote, “I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise.”
She added, “I’m a proud Indian and that will never change.”

The recent episode of Quantico ‘The Blood of Romeo’, has sparked outrage in India as it showed Indians in a negative light and it was showed days before a summit on Kashmir and showed.
In the recently-aired episode of Quantico, Priyanka, 35, who plays FBI agent Alex Parrish, plots a nuclear attack in Manhattan to frame Pakistan for it, just days before an Indo-Pak summit is to be held.
Earlier,US television studio ABC has issued an apology for Hindu terror plot in Quantico, “The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it.”
