Princess India 2017: Mumbai hosts special beauty contest for visually impaired

Mumbai, March 9: A beauty pageant was organised by the National Association for the Blind (NAB) and Blind’s Dream NGO, founded by Samir Mansuri, for visually impaired girls on International Women’s Day in Mumbai on March 8, 2017.

In an event actor Abhraham also be seen crowning the beauty pageant winner.

According to the sources Samir said, “John Abraham is known for his philanthropy. We could not have thought of anybody else as the special guest. He has given us an hour’s time and has agreed to crown the winner. He was bowled over with the idea of a beauty pageant for visually impaired. He felt that it will give loads of confidence to the girls and that it’s a good concept.”

In an event fourty-four ladies participated that was a spin-off of the popular Miss India contest.

The girls walked down the ramp showcasing grace and style. The confidence and smile not only thrilled the audience but also boosted their morale.
