New Delhi, June 18 : The ruling National Democratic Alliance will file nomination for presidential candidate before June 24, and the opposition political parties would be informed before the papers are filed.
As per BJP sources, the nomination will be filed before Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s three nation visit.
Modi is scheduled to visit Portugal on June 24, the US on June 26 and Netherlands on June 27.
Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday held talks with Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, who heads the Lok Janshakti Party, in connection with July 17 presidential election.
He also held discussions with Samajwadi Party’s Ram Gopal Yadav and Naresh Agrawal.
Paswan said his party will support the Prime Minister’s decision. Meanwhile Samajwadi Party leaders also said will support NDA candidate.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has spoken to top leaders of the Trinamool Congress and Biju Janata Dal.

The Presidential election is slated to be held on July 17 and counting will be done on July 20.
