New Delhi, Sep 29, 2017: President Ram Nath Kovind expressed his anguish over the deaths in the Mumbai stampede on Friday.
The President tweeted:

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed condolences over the deaths caused by a stampede in Mumbai and said the situation was being monitored continuously.

At least 22 commuters were killed in the stampede on a narrow railway footover bridge connecting the Parel-Elphinstone Road stations of Western Railway in Mumbai on Friday morning, officials said.
