New Delhi, Nov 6: The Supreme Court on Monday granted interim bail to Pinto family and asked the Punjab and Haryana High Court to decide on Pradyuman death case within a span of ten days.
The top court was hearing the plea filed by Varun Thakur, father of Pradyuman Thakur, who was murdered inside the premises of Ryan International School in Gurugram on September 8, seeking cancellation of interim bail to the owners, the Pinto family by the Punjab High Court.
Following the incident School bus conductor Ashok Kumar was arrested. After a nation-wide outrage over the child’s death, charges were levelled against the school management including Ryan International Group CEO Ryan Pinto, and his parents, founding chairman Augustine Pinto and managing director Grace Pinto.
In his earlier court hearing, the father of deceased said, “I could not understand the legal matters in the court, but the Supreme Court will conduct the next hearing in this regard on November 4. I also hope for justice!”.
“Add-ons and discussion on the new safety guidelines will be finalised on November 4 and accountability will be taken so that this incident does not happen again in any school of the country,” Varun told the media.
