Pradyuman Murder Case: Court grants anticipatory bail to Pinto family

New Delhi, Nov 21: Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to Pinto family, founders of the Ryan Group of Institutions, in connection with Pradyumn Thakur murder case.

Last month the court had  stayed the arrest of Augustine Pinto, his wife Grace Pinto and their son Ryan, and granted them interim relief till December 5.

However, the court had asked the trio to assist in probing the case and not leave country.

Sushil Tekriwal, lawyer of Pradyuman family said “We will file an appeal after receiving copy of the Court’s order & making an assessment of the same”.

The CBI had alleged that it had prima facie found that Ryan, the group chief executive officer (CEO), could be involved in the conspiracy behind the killing of the seven-year-old Class II student.

Earlier in the day, a Gurugram district court granted bail to Ashok Kumar, the school bus conductor who was accused of killing Pradyuman Thakur.

Pradyuman was found dead with his throat slit in the school bathroom on September 8.
