Ahmedabad, Oct 9, 2017: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi began his second-leg of his four phase Navsarjan yatra from Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Monday.

He has reached Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, where he was received by Ashok Gehlot, Ahmed Patel and Bharat Solanki.

Than, the Congress leader addressed the public meeting in Kheda where he said that “If Congress comes to power here, it will function as your government. Even small decisions will be taken after consulting you.”

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul said “Gujarat knows that Modi’s Gujarat Model has failed”, while adding that “What happened to development in Gujarat? Lies have led to its failure.”

In the second-leg, the Congress leader will cover several districts in Central region, including Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Dahod and Panchmahal.

Earlier during September 25-27, Rahul had visited Saurashtra region covering politically crucial districts and engaging with farmers and youth.

As a poll strategy for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Polls, the State Congress Unit has created four segments for campaigning. For each segment, the party will have Gandhi campaign in the regions for the three days. The campaign has been named ‘Jan Samvaad’.
